A 62-year member and Ex-Foreman of the Union Hook & Ladder Company, Owen was more than just a firefighter—he was a pillar of the Mount Kisco community. Known for his unwavering commitment, sharp wit, and generous spirit, Owen left an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of working beside him.
"Owen’s life was defined by service," said a department representative. "Whether he was responding to calls with Union Hook & Ladder, keeping West Patent Elementary running smoothly as a custodian, or later serving as a parking enforcement officer for the Village, Owen never stopped giving back to Mount Kisco."
In addition to his fire service, Owen was a local business owner and a friendly face throughout town. Even in retirement, his sense of responsibility never wavered, embodying what it truly means to serve one's community.
